U9 PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY
U9 division is designed to build on the fundamentals introduced at the U7 level while continuing to prioritize fun, confidence, and skill development.
Players are introduced to more structured gameplay in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
Success in U9 is measured by learning, effort, teamwork, and enjoyment—not wins or losses.
Continue developing core softball skills: throwing, catching, hitting, running, and base running
Introduce players to basic game flow and positioning
Encourage teamwork and positive social interaction
Every player participates equally
Games are typically 60-75 minutes in length with 3-4 innings (time permitting)
Each inning allows every player to bat once.
No official score is kept.
The focus is to remain on learning and development rather than competition.
